Basic Archery Instructor (BAI)

Training and Retention.

Training Requirements for BAI Candidates.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Candidate must be trained by a BAIT or BAIT Specialist level instructor.
  • BAI course length is approximately 8-12 hours.
  • Candidate must pass the BAI practical and score at least 80% on the exam.
BAI course cost
  • Varies by location, consult your NASP® Coordinator.

Retention Requirements for BAI. Activity:
Teach/coach/instruct NASP® archery at least 10 hours and report each year, complete a BAIT course, or retake the BAI course.
Reporting:
Complete annual reports at www.naspbai.org

IMPORTANT: National Archery in the Schools Program-Specific Note: To assure effective program coordination and consistency in the NASP® instructors who want to present archery courses to teachers or students for the NASP®, must first get the approval of state, provincial, or country in question's NASP® Coordinator. This state NASP® Coordinator will make sure state-specific requirements are met.
